New Details Emerge About the Finding of the Bodies of Rob and Michele Reiner Remains

Recent details have emerged about the shocking passing of acclaimed filmmaker Rob Reiner and photographer Michele Singer Reiner, whose remains were found at their residence home on Sunday.

The Discovery

As detailed in an account referencing a person close to the family, a therapist arriving for an appointment initially became concerned after failing to get inside the house. This individual then reached out to the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who lives close by.

After gaining access to the home, Romy found her father's body. It is said she then fled the house in anguish, unaware at that moment that her mother's body was also present. A companion who had accompanied her then dialed 911. Following this, paramedics found Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Legal Developments

The police have formally accused the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with the charges of premeditated murder, as well as the charge related to a weapon, reportedly a knife. He is currently being held without bail.

Clarifications

The confidential informant challenged several initial details. They said that while Romy Reiner told first responders that her brother Nick resided in a detached unit on the estate, she did not name him as a potential suspect at that moment.

Additionally pushed back against circulated claims that Rob and Michele Singer Reiner had been unusually "worried" about Nick's conduct in recent weeks. Rather the family was "used to working through [Nick's] problems together."

The statement also extends to accounts of reportedly "erratic" behavior by Nick at a gathering held by Conan O'Brien on the night before the bodies were found. Although the source said they were not in a position to confirm whether Rob had "scolded" his son at the party, they maintained that claims of a "major confrontation" between the two were inaccurate.

Ongoing Inquiry Timeline

As stated by law enforcement sources, the coroner had still not confirmed as of Tuesday whether the Reiners died late on Saturday or on Sunday. Some accounts noted the condition of their bodies suggested they had been deceased for some hours.

Nick Reiner was apprehended at around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the Exposition Park, some 15 miles from the residence. He was set to appear in court on Tuesday, but his attorney, Alan Jackson, stated his client had not received medical clearance and would not appear until Wednesday at the earliest.
