The Streaming Giant Casts Ideal Performer for Bentham in One Piece Third Season

Baroque Works is set to exert significant influence in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, although the real showdown won’t unfold until season 3, and a beloved, fan-favorite member has just been cast.

Netflix announced Tuesday that the skilled actor will appear in the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will embody Mr. 2. This character can use their power to morph into an identical duplicate of any person they’ve laid a hand on with their dominant hand. The actor, who is gender non-conforming and goes by they/them, will portray a interpretation of that figure reinterpreted as non-binary identifying, rather than as a drag performer, in the live-action show, as in the source material and cartoon version.

This performer joins multiple fresh additions who will portray the organization to the screen, such as leader Mr. 0, played by the well-known actor, a talented actress as Miss Goldenweek, and an accomplished actor, who also joins the cast as the ruler of Alabasta.

Though the role is a major member of the group, the individual will be introduced in One Piece the upcoming installment. Considering season 2 set to cover the Little Garden storyline, this signals a major departure in the timing of the character’s debut, one that could suggest additional alterations to the narrative framework.

The actor’s combination of excellent comedic sense and deep sensitivity makes them a standout choice for the part. Along with their current animated role in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and several accolades for creating and performing in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, showcasing the adaptability they’ll add to one of One Piece’s most celebrated figures.

The streaming service’s real-life One Piece series is scheduled to come back for its next installment on March 10, 2026.
